Happy Julyl!

Happy Summer!!!

Happy Birthday sidereal Cancer!!!!

The seventh month of the year sees our nation at the ripe age of 242!!

Considered by many to be preeminent in the heavens, Cancers redemptive qualities include loyalty, kindness, inclusiveness, and tenacity.

The dual human nature of Cancer is demonstrated here in the shape of a crab, at  home both in the deep and ashore.  The Egyptians saw a sacred scarab in the stars here, which seemed to rise from waste and live forever.  How does a prudent Christian reconcile the material grossness of this world with his eternal existence?  With love of course!  Cancers feel.
That center of our Hearts and Minds, the governing moon, is at home in the sign of the cold wet Crab.  Its pearlescent light, ever changing yet constant in rhythm, keeps regular the weeks of seasons, the cycle of years, the continuation of the species of creation.

The Apostolic link to Cancer lies in Simon the Zealot of course, whose intensity is legendary.  The Hebrew Scripture links through Joseph, of the many blessings.

The stars of the sign itself include The Mighty Prince (Sirius), A Strong Right Arm, Bright Shining Scarlet, Glorious, and To Lead to Glory.

The cool white stars of the Little Bear, also known as the Lesser Flock, form the backdrop of sunrise today.  This star group houses our current North Star, Polaris.  The individual names for these stars include The Center, Focus of the Constellations, The Assembled, and The Traveling Company.

Those people and relationships born under these stars are humane, kind, and dislike dissension;  marked mediumistic tendencies and sensitivities.

The wise and prudent will consider her actions and issues through this lens.

The daily lights, calculated from real time at sunrise on the Pacific coast, for weekend of 21 and 22 July 2018

The moon sinks in Scorpio while the sun glows summer white in Cancer!  We are water heavy and into each others business, especially those we care for the most!  We may be throwing boundaries, tactfulness, and courtesy to the winds.  Not a good idea!

Careful of our eliminatory and reproductive parts, as these are especially vulnerable now!

Saturday is a peach of a day, starting at 7 28 AM Pacific, 10 28 AM eastern. We are sure to be everywhere at once!  At 1 PM Pacific, 4 PM eastern, we risk saying the worst thing possible; let's take a Trappist vow for now! and take the day off!!

Sundays dreams are charming and full of hope!  A day perfect for mingling with family!

July weekends are so rare!  Let's make the best of them!

Monday is a tough nut to crack!!!

Not much serious work can get done, as we know that all words are going astray and that we are being taken out of context.  We can wisely start to wrap up projects, plans and quests, especially at home, decor or additions.  Whatever family get-togethers we have in mind are guaranteed to turn out with more than one surprise, from now till August 24th.

Mercury exhibits real qualms as it slows down, and will turn retrograde on Wednesday the 26th.

Mars is exalted, strong and powerful at the Top of the zodiac, and while retrograde can undo a lot of hard work.  Let's not start home repairs or major moves to a new location or redecorate the house, or our private little cave, till after August 18 th when it goes direct.  Wiser still, let's wait till after the August full moon on the 26 th!!

Mercury will sink down retrograde on July 26th, retreading carpeted Cancer wherever it falls in our individual charts.  Cancer is a very personal, immediate sign, and we will all feel this retrograde very intimately, through the 19th of August 2018.  With Mars and Mercury retrograding opposite each other, we can make maximum profit by review of our words, how we present ourselves verbally, especially to family and those close to us.  Our reactions to the world around us can be cool, introspective, almost detached!!

The very next day, the 27th sees the full moon, the Full Sturgeon Moon, in Capricorn, a tough sign for most of us to navigate easily.  At the Top of the zodiac, Capricorn is all about tradition, hard work, authority, tried-and-true, what works and what doesn't, with family being all-important.

Venus sloops into Virgo on August 2nd and romance is gone.  She will turn retrograde on Friday October 5th, till November 16th, backing through sidereal Libra, where she is very strong.

We can expect a resounding summer season, with more than one super surprise!!!

Life is full of reasons to celebrate!!!

The Christian Cancer
is a knight who is most protective of life, especially young life!  Loving, caring, nurturing, a natural parent and god parent to all, this knight makes a home comfortable on any battlefield.  A good cook, too

Judging the character by the names of the stars in the sign, the Cancer knight is all about Sheltering in A Hiding Place the Assembled Thousands;  the Kids and the Lambs being safe in The Crech.

Cancers are extremely creative due to their understanding of the relationship between their emotions at any given moment and all incoming information.

Cancer always has a strong, deeply held of what is right, her judgement usually being based on gut feeling.   The Cancer is never boring as they are both knowledgeable and comforting.

Their nature is to uplift others and share innovative ideas.

The natural scent of Cancer is lily of the valley, night blooming jasmine, pink rose, and ginger.

Its metals are silver and aluminum.

Most people will agree that the pearl and moonstone are remarkable gems, but the prudent Christian Cancer will choose the rose quartz.  This stone promotes heart healing through positive self love, self esteem, self image and a good body image.  It heals the emotional body and its heartaches, loneliness, inducing emotional release and clearing.  It fosters acceptance, inner peace, forgiveness, and self forgiveness, soothing and easing fears and grief.

Cancers fabric is softest flannel or fleece.

Moon foods cheese, dairy products, sesame oil, candied ginger, melons of all kinds, and of course shellfish.

These associations give the prudent Christian Cancer a deeper insight into his nature and place in the world.

Your words of knowledge are, 'I am deeply concerned about everything.'

The garden of Cancer embraces the iris, jasmine, water lily, white rose, anise, sesame, coriander, ginger hyssop, lettuce, willow, and watercress.  In the foreground must be a little white house, white seashells, moon snail shells, with a statue of the Blessed Mother holding the Holy Child is a fit centerpiece.
The most effective pilgrimage for a Cancer or anyone with a strong influx of the Heart and Mind influence would be to the Cathedral of St. James at Compostela in Spain.
The most effective shrine would be in a bathroom by the tub, or in the bathroom sink, also the shower; outside by a lake, river, a brook, and places where rushes or vegetables grow; anywhere in the kitchen; in the home itself which is ruled by Cancer;  the stall of a sheepfold; in a tavern, hotel, motel, or boardinghouse; anywhere in the cellar, or a corner facing north in your own house.

Dedicate the shrine in the key of G.

A flurry of gab

about home, mom, happy endings, early tales, recipes, decor ideas, landscaping, mining, and seaside stays accompanies our orb of communication through comforting, comfortable Cancer.

On the 26th of July, Mercury will spin retrograde through Cancer and make us rethink, review, reconsider, redo everything we are doing right now.  A word to the wise!!s worth of wisdom!

The phantom moon Vulcan wiggles and dudges with some malice in mind.  Take everything with a grain of salt!

Vacation time!!!
as it's summer!! Venus, the Golden Girl of the cosmos, roars in Leo, full of fun and frivolity, children, games and jests.  It will be a great summer!!  Everything turns golden!

We tend to take everything to heart for about a month.

Romance, profit, and jewelry is out of the question after the 2 nd of August when she sloops through Virgo on that date.

Later this year, October through midmonth November, Venus will retrograde through sidereal Libra, where she rules from her autumn home. This is a splendid window to seek out forms of social grace, etiquette, civil exchange!!

Plan ahead!

We feel a new surety and security
regarding our path and the acts we take upon it as Mighty Mars, orb of action and confidence, exalts in Capricorn.  As Mars is backwards now, we want to take our vacation till August 27th.  Everything we do when it comes to family, job, profession, or governance, can really come undone now!  This is a time for try-outs, temps, and too slow!

Our business sense

is under the watchful Eye of mighty, benevolent Jupiter, the king of planets.  Jupiter is at his jovial, genial best in sweet Libra where we are sure to assimilate the most graceful of social trends.  Uplifting, elegant, refined, sweetly harmonious and charming!

What a year we have ahead!

Timetables, class schedules, business meeting plans

are making a twist about in Sagittarius, turning our travel plans into a melee... on again and off again meetings, important in nature and scope, can frustrate us and we feel it most when it comes to dealing with the legal details.  The old problem of school credits and transcripts pop up now,  as the dour schoolteacher of the cosmos plays with his own ideas about Time.

At his best, Saturn can steady all the wild sky horses with sober calm, turning their tricks into reigns to guide our own inner drives with a more mature hand.  We  have until September to really study the laws by which we live and measure them against the Laws by which we really live.  If there is a discrepancy, now is the time to address such issues. Schooling and study itself will come under scrutiny and some fire.  Test the tester!!  We will find travel restrictions are nothing new and permanently askew now, as we need to seriously consider the need for borders.

Saturn blocks his blocks now, turning around and changing his mind on important issues.  Let's not get giddy when it comes to the law, the Law, travel, school, scheduling, or journeys near or far having to do with our religious views.

Saturn will turn direct on the 6th of September and we are back in the classroom!!

Saturn is all about form, walls, and watching.  We will discover this in 2018!

Onward!!

Uranus, the cosmic hand grenade, blasts through Aries the Spring Lamb.  Our sudden impulses and tracks seem so intense!!  As spring launches itself upon us, he will explode through the Spring Lamb like a soccer match on steroids.  Sports, military maneuvers, policing issues and leadership opportunities seem to materialize out of the air, and demand immediate action.  Let's be ready to think on our feet, Star Travelers!   This can be a fun time full of exploration, innovation, experimentation.

Our dreams of the future,
are under the bluegreen mists of Neptune, the orb of idealism and music, as it buoys through Aquarius, the sign of ideas, brotherhood, idealism, and innovation.  This  inspires delightful forms and colors for a future that is more out of this world than of it.

Currently retrograde till November 24th, we find our minds crystal clear, our reasoning ability a bit cold.  A perfect window for studying without passion or prejudice, the most confusing and complicated of issues.

Pluto, the fateful, fitful energy orb which can open our eyes to what is really there in front of us cruises in the sign of true blue Sagittarius.  Our core beliefs about religion, the law, The Law, education, and foreign affairs will be challenged, turned upside down and inside out, and we are wise to move through slowly to examine our own innards to see what is really going on there.

Sagittarius is the great Truth Seeker.  Let's not disappoint Him!

With courage, dignity, and grace, we can refine and now redefine who and what we are, in our inner reality.  As Pluto next visits the sign of government, dads everywhere, the corporate culture, we can emerge much more sure of ourselves and our beliefs and principles by engaging with Fate now!

Pluto is currently keeping the demons in the dark, away from us, till the end of September.  Time for planning strategies to slay them!

With 5 planets retrograde, we are wise to rethink and redo, rather than forge ahead!!

The planette which keeps watch on the home fires, Vesta, is on fire in Sagittarius!!  We are all about travelling, pilgrimage, even if it is in the astral.

Our spousal planette Juno raises hell in Aries, and the drama never stops, or even slows down.  Juno is almost never happy when alone, or when committed.

Splashing in Pisces is the planette Chiron, our Wounded Healer, retrograde now to go back and fix what needs work on our inner emotional issues with real success when using color, theater, drama, or past life therapy.

Pallas, the planettary BFF and sister in arms, is in her element in Gemini!  Blah blah yadda yadda yadda, and believe everything you hear!

The planette Ceres, the cook of the solar system, bowls through Leo, concerned with the children.

What a surprise!

This marks the eighth complete lunation for this year.

Jesus' Teachings on Money

One of the most corrosive quandries we face as American Christians today is that of the, and it's erroneous teachings about money and our attitude toward capitalism.  Jesus Himself was a capitalist.

The witness of His Own Words provides us with the right attitude on material possessions and our righteous atttitude toward them.  Jesus taught us in story form, anecdotes, or infomercials, so that we might have an ear of understanding.  These stories have more than one level on which we can access His reasoning.  In these passages, Jesus didn't advocate usuery;  He praised a money lender for his work nonetheless.  If Jesus did not approve, He would not have liken our own best behavior to that of a good and faithful servant.

Luke 19:23 Why then didnít you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?í

Matthew 15: 26 "His master replied, ĎYou wicked, lazy servant!!  27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

For the Scripture says, "You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain." And in another place, "Those who work deserve their pay!" I Timothy 5:17-18.

3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that you will prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers."

Even He, the Lord of Lords, was accompanied by a group of wealthy women who provided for Him materially. Luke 8: I-3;  JohnThe emergent church and it's communist overtones chooses to ignore these passages because these words do not suit their agenda, just like the Whore of the Many Waters, who only tells part of the story.

Many godly Bible characters were wealthy.

Solomon was the wealthiest man in history; yet observe his conclusion of this matter. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Job was the wealthiest man of his day (Job I: 3) yet when all his wealth was gone, observe his attitude. Job 1:20-22

We do not please God by being poor; our relationship with Him is the important part of life.  It is not measured by either abundance or absence of material goods. Nowhere in the Bible does God or Jesus specifically condemn anyone simply for having or not having money.  He always deals with their heart attitude.

Jesus Himself not only participated in festive occasions which included eating and drinking with others (Mt 9:10-11; Mk 2:15), there are times when He hosted parties.  Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding in Cana, he didnít chastise the family for having an expensive feast. Nor did he say, "Just drink water and save your money for the poor."

He was even called a glutton, a drunkard and a friend of riff-raff (Mt 11:18-19; Lk 7:33- 36).   Jesus entered into joyful celebration with "sinners, taxcollectors, prostitutes and the rabble."

In the parable of the prodigal son, Jesus positively described a lavish feast (Lk 15:22-
23).

The Gospels repeatedly record Jesus giving thanks for food (i.e., Mt 14:19; 27:26-27).  As the perfect Man, Jesus exemplified grateful enjoyment for Godís bountiful gifts.  He demonstrated that "the religion of gratitude cannot mislead us" (Wordsworth).  Genuine gratitude and enjoyment can coexist with a sacrificial, generous determination to relieve the suffering of others.  (The Apostle Paul echoes this theme in 1 Cor 10:30 and 1 Tim 6:17-18).

The Bible does NOT say that money is the root of all evil, It says... "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil... " I Timothy 6:10.

One of our commandments is to refrain from envy and covetousness, to be content with what Gods provisions for us.  This includes talents, looks, aptitudes, and family background.   All we have been given is a blessing!!  We are not to be ashamed of Gods work or to gainsay His decisions. Psalm 49: 16-17; Exodus 20:17

We are to be content in whatever state we find ourselves, resting in  the LORD JESUS CHRIST Philippians 4:11 Interestingly, Paul wrote these words while in jail!

Let's consider the things which we know from experience money can not buy:

 Wisdom Proverbs 16:16
 A righteous life. Proverbs 28:6; Proverbs 16:8; Psalm 37:16
 A good night's sleep. Ecclesiastes 5:12
Gods own word. Psalm 119:14, 72, 127
Good health. Luke 8:43
Peace and quiet Ecclesiastes 4:6; Proverbs 15:16; 17:1

Matthew 6: 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

1 Timothy 5:8New International Version (NIV)

8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.I Timothy 5:8.

In 3 John 1:2, John, His beloved disciples, says to us Christians, "Beloved, I wish above all things that you will prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers."

A message to the emergent church from Christ Jesus: Proverbs 11: 1, "A false balance is abomination to the Lord...".Luke 19 12 27
